With an American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) grant, Maria Sorkin ’16 grew moss from spores in petri dishes this summer, plucking bits for hundreds of test tubes and measuring how different genes affect the plant’s reproductive cycle. Kenyon extended its partnership for five more years with the Pelotonia bicycle tour for cancer research, keeping the first-day finish line on campus for longer rides from Columbus, Ohio. Benjamin Adekunle-Raji ’17 and his friends Tomas Grant ’16, Keegan James ’19 and Eric Sutton ’18 end the year at Kenyon on a high note with their jazzy rendition of “Let It Snow.” The talented foursome gathered in Brandi Recital Hall on Dec. 5 to perform the instrumental piece, which features piano, drums, guitar and saxophone.
