The Center for the Study of American Democracy’s next biennial conference, formerly scheduled for April 1 - 3, 2020, will be rescheduled for a later time. Titled “Restoring Democracy’s Promise,” the conference will explore how to counter the erosion of democratic norms, institutions and values in the United States and other democracies in ways that restore public faith in democracy’s promise to deliver freer, more meaningful lives to its citizens.
Plans for the rescheduled conference will be announced. Additionally, the presentation of the inaugural Leopoldo López Freedom and Democracy Award will be rescheduled for a later time.
