Evolution in humans takes thousands of years but, in bacteria, the changes can come more quickly. It’s the changes that occur in the reproduction of Escherichia coli bacteria that Joan Slonczewski, professor of biology, is studying with her nearly $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. Andrew Pochter Memorial Event and International Studies Fund Announced

In the last week I’ve experienced two key cultural aspects of Morocco, both of which I was previously afraid. All eyes will be on Old Kenyon Saturday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. when—as the bell peals 19 times in honor of Kenyon’s 19th president—light will pour out from the building’s front-facing windows, illuminating the south end of Middle Path for the first time in a decade.
