Angela Waite Student Recital highlights outstanding student musicians

GAMBIER, Ohio — Eight student musicians have been invited to perform at Kenyon College’s Angela Waite Student Recital, held Saturday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in Storer Hall’s Brandi Recital Hall, 105 College Drive.

The concert features students who gave outstanding performances during their music juries this spring. Students invited to perform include:

• Junior Quinn Adam, trombone, from Colorado Springs, Colorado
• First-year Bradley Berklich, voice, from Lake Forest, Illinois
• First-year Nell Marootian, voice, from Essex Fells, New Jersey
• First-year Linnea Mumma, voice, from South Orange, New Jersey
• Sophomore Eric Schwartz, guitar, from New York City
• Sophomore Uli Schwendener, jazz piano, from Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
• First-year Anna Shaulis, harp, from Chardon, Ohio
• First-year Sydney Zimmerman, harp, from Phoenix, Maryland

The biannual Angela Waite Recital Series was created in 2000 by Charles P. Waite, a Kenyon emeritus trustee who made a donation in his wife’s name as an anniversary gift. The concert is free and open to the public.
