Interested in volunteering for Kenyon? Listed below are some of the ways that you can get involved.
Participants in this program assist Kenyon in recruiting students from their local area by sending names of prospective students to the Office of Admissions, contacting students in person or by telephone, representing the College at high-school college fairs, and attending receptions. For more information, please contact the admissions office at 740-427-5776. Learn about the Kenyon Alumni Admissions Network.
Nominations for the Alumni Council are solicited throughout the year and due for consideration by April 1 of each year. Candidates are considered by the Alumni Council at the spring meeting and appointed by the Council for a term beginning July 1. No fewer than four members are appointed each year for a three-year term. Alumni Council members meet three times a year to become better informed about the College, to discuss issues of interest to alumni, and to advise the College. For more information, contact Shawn Dailey, associate vice president of alumni and parent engagement and annual giving, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 740-427-5151. Learn more about the current Alumni Council.
The Alumni of Color Mentoring Initiative gives students the opportunity to network with and learn from alumni of color and provides former Kenyon students the chance to give back and shape students' lives.
Alumni volunteer to serve as liaisons between the class and the College by writing at least two letters a year to their class providing information about the College, classmates, and the Kenyon Fund. For more information about being a class agent, contact Terry Dunnavant at email@example.com or Shayna Daubert at firstname.lastname@example.org. Learn more about current Alumni Class Agents.
Alumni and parents volunteer to provide advice and information about their professions to current students and recent graduates on this online platform. The Career Development Office coordinates the program. For more information, please contact Jazz Glastra at email@example.com.
KFEC members are appointed by current members. The group meets twice during the year to advise the staff on goal setting, strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Kenyon Fund. For more information, contact Molly Gutridge, director of annual giving, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 740-427-5286. Learn more about the current Kenyon Fund Executive Committee.
Alumni and parents serve as officers to coordinate regional programs and plan events with assistance from the College. There are more than thirty regional associations throughout the country. For more information, contact Annie Gordon, director of alumni engagement, at gordon3kenyon.edu or 740-427-5096. Learn more about Regional Associations.
Each year, beginning in early fall, alumni who have a major reunion (every five years) in May work with the College to plan the celebrations. For more information, please contact Shayna Daubert, director of leadership giving, at email@example.com or 740-427-5916. The Kenyon Fund Volunteer Handbook contains useful information for members of the reunion committee.
