Kenyon has updated its plans for returning to campus, offering in-person and remote instruction. Read more here.
We invite you to join us on campus for any and all of the many events that we hold here: see a wide range of art in the galleries, listen to the diverse tunes of the many musical groups on campus, take in the theater for an evening or join a thrilling sports event. Most events are free of charge. Just as you enrich our lives, we’d like the opportunity to enrich yours as well!
Public parking is available behind the Olin and Chalmers Libraries and in front of Peirce Dining Hall. Street parking (1-2 hour limits) is available along Chase and Gaskin Avenues and on Wiggin Street. Please do not park in Gambier permit areas as indicated by signs.
Additional event parking, especially for sports-related activities, can be found at the Kenyon Athletic Center, at the football stadium (McBride Field) and in the parking lot across from the stadium, which is located below Peirce Dining Hall. All can be accessed from Duff Street.
In 2017, the Office for Community Partnerships relocated to the Wright Center in Mount Vernon. Take a trip down Main Street and through downtown Mount Vernon to learn more about life in a rural community. Local businesses are surrounded in rich history and ornate architecture. See the historical Woodward Opera House currently under complete renovation or visit the farmer's market in the town square every Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon, May-October. Explore the many expanding trails and parks, and visit any number of local restaurants from Howard to Mount Vernon to Fredericktown — you’ll be surprised by the diverse cuisines and atmospheres. There is so much to explore!
Kenyon partners with Knox Area Transit (KAT) to provide public transportation from Gambier to Mount Vernon. The purple line shuttle runs Monday through Saturday every hour on the hour and loops through downtown Mount Vernon, the Coshocton Ave. business area and back to Gambier.
All Kenyon students, faculty and staff can ride the purple shuttle at no cost from any designated stop after showing their student or employee ID. Download the schedule (PDF).
