Welcome New Students! The Office of Financial Aid is here to serve as a resource on the financial aid process and to provide information that helps students and families make informed decisions. Our office is located at 105 College-Park Street in Edelstein House. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are always welcome. You may reach us by phone at 740-427-5430. The Kenyon Admissions Portal also serves as your portal to specific financial aid information. The portal will be updated with Financial Aid Next Steps in early June and will allow you to do the following:
We will send an email to your kenyon.edu account in early June when the updated portal information is available.
The Student Accounts Office and Office of Financial Aid are two separate offices that work closely together throughout the year. The Student Accounts Office is located in Eaton Center South (209 Chase Avenue) and is responsible for invoicing and the subsequent collection of tuition, fees, housing, meals and other tuition-related charges. If you have questions regarding payment plans or your billing invoice, please contact the Student Accounts Office at 740-427-5178 or student.billing@kenyon.edu. Additional information may be found online at www.kenyon.edu/student-accounts.
FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act passed by Congress in 1974. FERPA is designed to protect the privacy of students by limiting third party access to student education records. It restricts what information Kenyon can share with anyone other than the student.
You have the right to authorize a parent or anyone else to access your financial aid information by submitting a signed FERPA Release Form. The form should list those individuals who should have access to financial aid information. This form only applies to financial aid information and not to other details such as grades.
Outside scholarships must be reported to the Office of Financial Aid as soon as notification is received, and the total, in combination with other financial assistance, cannot be more than the cost of the education (or more than the demonstrated financial need if the student receives need-based assistance). Please report outside scholarship information in writing by email, fax or mail (see contact information below). We prefer a copy of the official scholarship notification, whenever possible.

Whether or not you have been awarded any form of work-study, you are eligible to work on campus. Available positions are posted at kenyon-csm.symplicity.com/students. (Students are provided access to this site in mid-July.) When applying for jobs, you must indicate if you are a federal work-study or a Kenyon institutional work-study recipient. All positions require a submitted resume as part of the application process. If needed, the Career Development Office (CDO) staff provides assistance to students with writing resumes, cover letters and conducting mock interviews.
Most importantly, if you plan to find a job on campus you will need to bring proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. with you to campus. Once you're hired, you will need to go to the CDO to complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form, the Direct Deposit form and state and federal tax forms with the College. The employment forms are available to you in advance via the Career Development Office website or you can pick them up in Lower Gund Commons. *Please note: You can find the acceptable forms of identification listed on page 3 of the I-9 form.
Photocopies or faxed documents are NOT acceptable. The CDO must see original documents.
The Career Development Office is located at 101 E. Brooklyn Street, in the basement of Gund Commons. Our office hours are M – F, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
