This annual exhibition is an opportunity for Kenyon students, faculty and staff to celebrate intellectual and creative life on campus. It is a time for students to show how they have applied their classroom learning in extended opportunities and how intellectual discussion and creative engagement are fostered on campus.
The 2019 exhibition took place on April 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kenyon Athletic Center.
High-impact practices can be research projects, artistic performances, internships, community-based research, senior honors theses, off-campus study or collaborative assignments. The event's illumination of the academic program at Kenyon may take the form of a podcast, a presentation, a short video or a poster about a summer scholars project.
Collaboration between students and faculty is key to the successful liberal arts education happening on the Hill. It is in these high-impact practices where a liberal arts student exercises his or her growing intellectual and critical capacity. These projects are rehearsals for future callings, allowing students to anticipate how their unique interests, skills and training can result in a career.
The inaugural showcase took place on Thursday, March 31, 2016, in the Kenyon Athletic Center. View the abstracts describing the student projects on display. The 2017 exhibition took place on April 4 in the Kenyon Athletic Center. Read the abstracts for the 2017 projects.
