President Sean M. Decatur

Kenyon's nineteenth president is a biochemist, an educator and a Beatles aficionado who grew up with lessons of learning. Most recently he has guided the College through a two-year study to chart a course for the future known as Kenyon 2020.

Sean M. Decatur, an emerging national leader in higher education, became the nineteenth president of Kenyon College on July 1, 2013. A champion of the liberal arts, Decatur earned a bachelor's degree at Swarthmore College and a doctorate in biophysical chemistry at Stanford University. The presidential inauguration took place October 26, 2013.
