Composed of faculty members, administrators, and students, the Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) meets throughout the academic year to assess the state of diversity at Kenyon. Underlying the council’s work is a commitment to fostering a campus environment where all individuals, whatever their origin or intended destination, can pursue personal and intellectual goals.
To this end, the DAC seeks to enrich every person’s experience at Kenyon by promoting a wide variety of opportunities to explore, discover, forge identity, and grow. The DAC is committed to a just and inclusive campus culture that embraces diversity in the fullest sense of the word. Such a culture can best thrive where the most important definition of a person is the one that they forge as an individual.
The DAC makes recommendations to the Kenyon Board of Trustees at the board’s annual spring meeting.
Representatives from the following campus departments attend DAC meetings:
Kenyon Interfaith Partnership (KIP)
Center for Global Engagement
Office of Academic Advising
Office of Admissions and Financial Aid
Office of Disability Services
Office of Equal Opportunity
Office of Multicultural Affairs
