At the Kenyon Farm, pastoral meets academic.
One way students connect with their surroundings is by taking care of Kenyon's wide-open spaces. At the 10-acre Kenyon Farm, students roll up their sleeves for hands-on experience managing the land and harvesting the crops (strawberries, onions, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, squash and radishes) that are served in Peirce Dining Hall.
Volunteers and staff help, but ultimately, it’s up to the students who live at the farm to make sure the animals are well tended and the plants well maintained — a way of life that is demanding yet infinitely rewarding.
