Located smack in the middle of the village, the Kenyon College Bookstore is an important hub in Kenyon’s academic and literary life. You’ll buy your textbooks and school supplies here. You’ll find loads of good reading, from classics and bestsellers. The store always showcases books by visiting writers and lecturers, and regularly hosts readings and book signings. It’s also an emporium for snacks both mundane and exotic, drinks, ice cream, greeting cards, Kenyon apparel in every imaginable form, necessaries and novelties. Long tables and comfortable chairs encourage lingering. So does the friendliness of the staff.
Bookstore factoid: The Bookstore is the nation’s longest continuously operating college bookstore and the third-oldest bookstore of any kind in America.
