Norton Hall is located on the north end of campus and places you in a prime location to take advantage of the open green space that makes up "the first-year quad." Built in the 1950's, it is among the nicest looking buildings on the north end of campus.
Norton Hall is women-only. As with all first-year residence halls, Norton is a smoke-free and alcohol-free living area. In addition, Norton Hall is open during breaks.
The rooms are fairly large, with movable furniture. This means you can bunk your beds or rearrange them. Norton is known for keeping you warm in the winter but also stays fairly warm in the fall and spring, so you might want to bring a fan to circulate the air.
Norton has a main lounge equipped with comfortable furniture, microwave oven and vending machines.
