Chris Smith received a B.S. in medical technology from Tuskegee University and a Master of Public Health in behavioral science and health education from Saint Louis University. Chris has worked for the National Cancer Institute Cancer Information Service, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and for the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Division of Immunization management team as a CDC public health advisor. April graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in sociology in 2000 and received her nursing degree in 2010. Previously she was employed at Urgent Care and specialty clinics at OSU. April worked part-time at Kenyon for two years before joining the Health and Counseling Center family full-time. Above all, she loves spending time with her husband and four children. She also holds yoga, pilates, personal training and group fitness certifications. Her hobbies include hiking, obstacles races, yoga, gardening and nutrition. View April Baker's full biography.

Amy has been a registered nurse for 20+ years and formerly worked as a job coach and employment advisor for people with disabilities. In her younger days she was also a 911 dispatcher. Jill Parak is a family nurse practitioner who works in college health and family practice. Her previous experience is in emergency medicine as a staff nurse and a nurse practitioner. After completing a master’s program clinical rotation at Kenyon, she is pleased to continue caring for young adults. She enjoys health promotion and treating acute illnesses. She completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2002 at Wayne State University and a master's degree with family practice nurse practitioner certification in 2007 at The Ohio State University. Holly received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kentucky Christian University and a master's in counseling from Cincinnati Christian University. She is an independently licensed clinical counselor with supervision status, which allows her to supervise counselors who are not independently licensed or counseling interns. Holly has worked in a variety of settings including two universities, inpatient adolescent treatment, community mental health and private practice. Holly utilizes person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy in her approach to treatment. She is also trained in EMDR therapy for addressing trauma concerns. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, reading and watching television. Holly is also a certified REFIT instructor (cardio dance fitness) and enjoys leading classes throughout the week.

Bradley Fox received his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, California. For the majority of his clinical career, he has worked in outpatient community mental health sector with adolescents and young adults. He has also been a part of youth crisis response teams in two counties, worked in a variety of settings (e.g., private/state inpatient facilities, schools, and a university counseling center), and provided training and psychoeducation to fellow mental health professionals, law enforcement / first responder personnel and the general public. His primary therapeutic orientations draw from psychodynamic and Gestalt psychology, as well as cognitive behavioral and solution-focused concepts. He holds that though we cannot erase pain or suffering from our lives, we can seek to make adjustments so that we can come to carry it differently; and as a result, ultimately feel more content and live in peace. In his spare time, Bradley enjoys martial arts, weight lifting, target practice, watching “too much” television, walking his dog, and spending time with his wife.

Jackie serves as the Counseling Center's administrative assistant. Prior to taking this position in 2017, Jackie served in a similar role at the Health Center. Jackie truly enjoys interacting with the students and feels very fortunate to work here.

Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ashland University and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. She is an independently licensed professional clinical counselor who has worked in community mental health centers with children, adolescents and adults with co-occurring disorders. Jessica also has experience as a crisis response therapist. Jessica utilizes person-centered and cognitive-behavioral theories in her counseling approach. She is trained in EMDR therapy, a trauma focused treatment approach. During her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, baking and knitting.
Huynh Son received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling/therapy from the University of Akron. She is a licensed professional counselor who has worked in children’s residential centers, university counseling centers and private practices. Huynh’s theoretical approach is driven by person-centered and cognitive-behavioral theories within a multicultural framework. Her goal is to provide a safe environment for clients to be their authentic self so they can grow, heal and create change. During her free time, Huynh enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching television and traveling.
Johanna Wilson is a trained general psychiatrist and is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. She graduated summa cum laude from an accelerated BS/MD program at Kent State University in the top 10 percent of her class from Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Wilson received her general psychiatry training and served as chief resident at The Ohio State University. During her psychiatry training, Wilson developed a special interest in adolescent psychiatry and received training in emergency psychiatric assessments, inpatient treatment of adolescents, as well as long term outpatient treatment of adolescents. She enjoys working with adolescents, adults and families, and she looks forward to the development of long term physician-patient relationships. Wilson believes that wellness can only be achieved through a multi-faceted therapeutic approach in which the patient takes charge of living a balanced life. She is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
