Pelotonia organizers are looking for more volunteers at Kenyon on Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9.
“We could really use some more help at Kenyon on Saturday, especially in the afternoon and evening,” said volunteer coordinator Morgan Dominique. “If we had another 50 or 60 people we would really be over the moon.”
Volunteers are needed to help with setting up and taking down tables and chairs, managing the storage of bicycles for riders who will be staying on campus overnight Saturday as the halfway point of the 150- and 180-mile routes and helping with loading bikes onto trucks for the folks who complete their 75- or 100-mile ride Saturday.
Since Pelotonia donates 100 percent of the money its riders raise to cancer research, volunteers are an integral part of the operation.
“They have a very unique experience as volunteering for the event,” Dominique said. “It’s a really good part of their lives.”
Volunteers can register at the Pelotonia website and are encouraged to sign up for multiple shifts.
