More than 1,000 guests joined students on the Hill in October for a Family Weekend packed with sporting events, campus tours and more.
President Sean Decatur greeted families on Friday evening in a special faculty reception at the Kenyon Athletic Center. On Saturday, families attended the Brown Family Environmental Center’s traditional Harvest Festival and enjoyed hayrides, pumpkin carving and apple cider.
Other activities included a live-streamed town meeting with Decatur, Lords and Ladies swimming relays, concerts by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Kokosingers, and productions from The Billy Shakes Project and Fools on the Hill, as well as the mainstage production of “The Ballad of Bonnie Prince Chucky.”
“We got to spend time with our son, talk with his professors, meet his friends, and learn about the Kenyon community,” Bonnie Ross, parent of Taylor Eth ’17, said. “I’m continually impressed with how much the parents are welcomed as a part of that community.”
