John W. Thomas Fund
Established in 1949 by John W. Thomas of Akron, Ohio, Parent 1930, and Grandparent 1961. The income is awarded to young men of promise in one of the scientific studies.
Richard L. Thomas Scholarship
Established in 2001 with a gift from Richard L. Thomas, Class of 1953, Parent 1981, Honorary 1972, and trustee from 1967 to 2003. The income supports able and promising students who could not otherwise meet the costs of a Kenyon education. Preference is given to students who graduated from a public high school and who demonstrate excellence in the pursuit of academic achievement and collegiate extracurricular activities.
William H. Thomas Jr. Scholarship Fund
Established in 1983 by his family and friends, the fund honors the life and long service to the College of William H. Thomas Jr., Class of 1936. The income supports the scholarship program of the College.
Dr. P.L. Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1980 by the Birge Swift Thompson (Class of 1934) Trust in memory of his father, P.L. Thompson, M.D. The income supports the College's scholarship program. Preference is given to students preparing for careers in medicine.
Paul and Catherine Titus Scholarship Fund
Established in 1998 by their family and friends, the fund honors the life and long service to the College of Catherine and Paul Titus, Honorary 1972, long-time professor of economics (1933-72). The income supports students majoring in economics at the College.
Edith and Winthrop Toan Scholarship Fund
The Edith and Winthrop Toan Scholarship, a gift of Barrett A. Toan 1969 and Paula (Polly) O'Brien, shall provide scholarships in th form of annually renewable financial aid for students who attend or plan to attend Kenyon College, and who may not have the family financial resources to be able to complete their undergraduate education at Kenyon College. Eligible students will be among the top 25 percent academically in the admitted student pool and will be among the lowest 40 percent of those students who demonstrate financial need.
Jeanne Maine Top and Franklin H. Top III Scholarship Fund
Established in 2007 by Jeanne Maine Top and Franklin H. Top III, both members of the Class of 1984. The income provides scholarship support to students who demonstrate financial need.
Patterson Pete Hayward Travis Scholarship Fund
Established in 1999 through the will of Patterson Pete Hayward Travis, Class of 1961, loyal alumnus, dedicated volunteer, and long-time friend of the College. The income provides scholarship assistance for deserving students from the Chicago, Illinois, metropolitan area and as a means for Pete to continue recruiting and supporting fine students in his own special way.
Richard J. Trethewey Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2007 by Edward B. Schwartz, Class of 1989, in honor of Richard J. Trethewey, Professor of Economics 1969 - 2007, for his inspiring teaching excellence. The income from the fund provides scholarship support for deserving students of economics.
James L. and Alice Marian Tugman Scholarship Fund
Established in 1998 through a bequest by Robert C. Tugman, a friend of the College in memory of his brother, James L. Tugman, Class of 1921, and his mother. The income provides scholarship support to students majoring in English or the dramatic arts who maintain an overall grade point average sufficient for graduation.
Kitty King Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1999 by Ellen C. Turner, Class of 1980, in memory of her mother, Katherine Kitty King Turner. The income supports deserving students who have exhibited an interest in learning languages, understanding international issues, and traveling abroad to absorb other cultures.
