Joshua T. Radnor '96 Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2010 by Joshua T. Radnor, Class of 1996, the income from the fund provides scholarship support to students who demonstrate financial need and who are pursuing artistic interests such as drama, dance, playwriting, poetry, fiction writing, studio art, or music.
Florence Rauh Trust Fund
Established in 1938 through the Florence Rauh Trust. The income supports the College's scholarship program.
Thomas and Joan Read Scholarship Fund
Established in 1995 by Joan Read in memory of her husband, Thomas A. Read, Class of 1949. The income provides annual support to enable needy and promising students to attend the College.
Reader's Digest Foundation Fund
Established in 1965 by the directors of the Reader's Digest Foundation. The income supports general scholarship purposes.
Peter E. and Barbara S. Rentschler Foundation Fund
Established through gifts from the Peter E. and Barbara S. Rentschler Foundation. The income supports the College's scholarship program.
Rice Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 1991 by a group of alumni in honor of Philip Blair Rice, professor of philosophy at the College from 1938 until his death in 1956, and his wife, Kathryn (Kitty) Rice, a member of the art department from 1946 to 1961. The income supports the College's scholarship program, with preference given to students majoring in philosophy or English.
Eppa Rixey III Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1993 in memory of the late Eppa Rixey III '49, of Cincinnati, Ohio, by his family and friends; awarded annually to a senior who demonstrates the character and integrity that shaped Eppa Rixey's life and work. Selection is based on contributions to the academic, athletic, extracurricular and fraternal life of the College.
Jefferson D. and Anne Jeffrey Robinson Scholarship Fund
Established in 1999 by Anne Jeffrey Robinson and Jefferson D. Robinson, Class of 1949, Honorary 1988. The Robinsons are parents of a 1981 alumnus and grandparents of 1999 and 2002 graduates. The income is awarded annually to a first-year student with notable leadership qualities.
Clinton A. Roenisch Middle Path Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2007 by Elizabeth E. Lind, Class of 1983, and J. Robert Lind Jr., Class of 1983, in memory of their classmate, Clinton A. Roenisch, the income from the fund supports the Middle Path Scholarship Fund, which provides annual financial aid assistance to students who have demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurship, community involvement, and volunteerism in their high school careers, and who are expected to continue their community leadership during their Kenyon careers. The grants are awarded to academically able incoming first year students who exhibit outstanding leadership in extra curricular programs and who qualify for aid totaling less than 25 percent of Kenyon's total cost. Grants will provide approximately 10 percent of Kenyon tuition and fees for four years of the student's enrollment at Kenyon and are intended to provide a replacement for financial aid loans.
Rothenberg Family Fund
Established in 2007 by Susan and Alan E. Rothenberg, Class of 1967, parents of Sara Rothenberg, Class of 1996, the Rothenberg Family Fund provides endowed support to assist the Dean of Admissions in shaping Kenyon's incoming freshman class. Applications would be reviewed by a committee chaired by the Dean of Admissions with advising from the Dean of Students.
Zangwill Rudolph and Florence Laye Scholarship
Established in 2006 by Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, Class of 1989, in honor of her grandparents Florence Laye and Zangwill Rudolph. The income provides scholarship support to academically promising first-generation students.
Russell Family Scholarship
Established in 2000 by William P. Russell, Class of 1962, and his wife, Karen, in response to the "Claiming Our Place" campaign. The scholarship is awarded to incoming or continuing students, with preference given to those who actively pursue volunteer service to the College or to their community, as a reflection of enduring interest in and comprehensive service to Kenyon exhibited by Bill and Karen Russell. (Volunteer work for political candidates does not qualify.)
