Unrestricted endowment funds provide support where it is needed most, whether toward the operating budget or for unexpected needs or special projects. Some donors of unrestricted funds choose to restrict their support to the costs of annual general operations only. Such gifts, as with endowments for the Kenyon Fund, for example, serve to reduce the College's reliance on tuition and fees to balance the budget.
Katherine Allen Fund
Established in 1987 through the bequest of Katherine Allen, long-time friend of the College. The income supports the general operations of the College.
Anderson-Farmer Corporation Fund
Established in 1957 by a gift from the Anderson-Farmer Corporation of Maumee, Ohio. The gift was given to the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, which passed a pro rata amount on to Kenyon. The income supports the College's general operations.
J. Kell Brandon Fund
Established in 1968 from the bequest of J. Kell Brandon, Class of 1902. The College has been assigned a segment of the principal of Mr. Brandon's estate, which is invested by the trustees of the estate. The income from Kenyon's share of the principal is used for the general purposes of the College.
Robert B. Brown Memorial Fund
Established in 1960 in memory of Robert B. Brown, Class of 1911, Honorary 1946, a former development officer of the College, by his friends. The income supports general operating purposes.
Anonymous General Operations Fund
Established anonymously in 1982 by a foundation. The income supports the general operations of the College.
Howard L. Hayden Fund
Established in 1959 by Mr. Hayden. The income supports such general operating purposes as the trustees may determine.
General Endowment Fund
Established with unrestricted endowment monies. The income is used for any purpose of the College.
Richard C. Fox Endowment Fund
Established in 2001 by Richard C. Fox, Class of 1968. The income contributes to the general endowment of the College.
Bishop Chase Memorial Fund
Established in 1956 by Marie Beale in memory of Bishop Philander Chase, her great-great-grandfather and the founder and first president of the College (1824-31). The income supports general operating purposes of the College.
William Nelson Cromwell Fund
Established in 1948 through the estate of William Nelson Cromwell, Honorary 1904. The income supports the general operations of the College.
Theodore M. Cartmell Fund
Established in 1957 by Theodore M. Cartmell, Class of 1903. The income is used by the College wherever necessary.
W.L. Cummings Fund
Established in 1941 through the estate of W.L. Cummings, Class of 1902 and Honorary 1928, to support the general programs of the College.
DeMoog Fund
Established by the College in 1974, the fund represents a proportionate share of the DeMoog Estate given to the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges. The income supports the College's general operations.
John B. Dempsey Fund
Established by John B. Dempsey, a friend of the College and brother of Ernest C. Dempsey, Class of 1911, Honorary 1944, and a former trustee of the College. The income is available for general operations of the College.
Edwin H. Eaton Jr. Endowment Fund
Established in 1997 by Edwin H. Eaton Jr., Class of 1960, father of a member of the Class of 1989, and trustee. The income contributes to the general endowment of the College.
John W. Ford Fund
Established in 1939 by John W. Ford, Honorary 1939 and a former trustee of the College. The income supports the general operations of the College.
Mary E. Johnston Fund
Established in 1961 by Mary E. Johnston, Honorary 1962, for the purpose of loaning money for faculty housing.
Kenyon Fund Endowment
Established by the alumni of the College to support general programs. Memorial gifts so designated are listed in the Annual Report published by the College each year.
Dorothy and Rudy Kutler Fund
Established in 1982 by family and friends of Dorothy and Rudy Kutler, Class of 1926 and former athletic director. The income supports the general operations of the College.
William A. and Sarah F. Leonard Fund
Established in 1912 and added to in1930 by William A. Leonard, Honorary 1919, and Sarah F. Leonard. The College uses the income to support general operations.
William F. Maag Jr. Memorial Fund
Established in 1978 by an anonymous donor in memory of William F. Maag Jr., a former trustee. The income supports general operations.
Marathon Oil Foundation, Inc., Fund
Established by the College in 1973 from a contribution by the Marathon Oil Foundation, Inc., of Findlay, Ohio. The income supports the general operations of the College.
Margaret F. Marfield Fund
Established by the College in 1973 from proceeds of the Margaret F. Marfield estate in memory of her father, Elliott Marfield, Class of 1883. The income supports the College's general operations.
Mrs. Philip R. Mather Fund
Established by Madeleine A. Mather, wife of Philip R. Mather, a former trustee and a long-time benefactor of the College. In her honor, the College named the second women's dormitory the Madeleine A. Mather Residence. The income supports the College's current operations.

Established in 1903 by Samuel Mather, a former trustee and a long-time benefactor of the College. The income helps support general operations.
Samuel Mather Pension Fund
Established in 1917 by Samuel Mather, a former trustee and a long-time benefactor of the College. The income helps pay for Kenyon's contributions to the Church Pension Fund and supports the general operations of the College.

Established in 1952 through the estate of William G. Mather, Honorary 1924, a former trustee and a long-time benefactor of the College. The income supports the College's general operations.

Amy Angell Collier Montague Memorial Fund
Established in 1961 through the estate of Gilbert H. Montague, Honorary 1953, in memory of his wife, Amy Angell Collier Montague, and in commemoration of a number of Montague's friends who were officers of the College. The income supports the general operations of the College.

Established in 1955 through the estate of Walter J. Morris, Class of 1902. The income supports the general operations of the College.

Established in 1969 from the estate of Chester Whitfield Smith, Class of 1933. The income supports the general programs of the College, with the provision that, should a lineal descendant of the donor attend Kenyon, the income will be used to provide for the student's costs.
Winthrop H. Smith Fund
Established in 1957 by Winthrop H. Smith, Honorary 1957. The income provides support for any purpose determined by the College.
Edwin M. Stanton Fund
Established in 1904 by Andrew Carnegie to be called the Fund in Honor of Edwin M. Stanton, Class of 1834, who served as secretary of war in President Abraham Lincoln's Cabinet. The income supports the general purposes of the College.
