GAR Foundation Scholarship Fund
Established in 1984 by the GAR Foundation, the fund provides scholarship awards to qualified students who otherwise would not be able to attend the College.
G.S.F. Fund
Established anonymously in 1957. The income supports the College's scholarship program.
Carl R. Ganter Scholarship Fund
Established by Kenyon alumni of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity to honor Carl R. Ganter, Class of 1899, M.A. 1902, Honorary 1938, and recipient of the Gregg Cup for 1943-44. The annual proceeds of this fund support students at the College who are members of Alpha Delta Phi and who qualify for financial aid, beyond that which the College can provide from its usual financial-aid sources.
General Scholarship Program Fund
The income supports the College's general scholarship program. Memorial gifts so designated are listed in the Annual Report published by the College each year.
Elizabeth Ann Gibbons Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 1994 by a gift from Michael E. Gibbons, Class of 1974, in honor of his mother. The income is awarded annually, with preference given to a deserving male student interested in the pursuit of excellence in academic and collegiate extracurricular activities.
Daniel Gilbert and Judith Hoff Gilbert '91 Scholarship
Established in 2011 by Dan and Judy Gilbert, Class of 1991, income from the fund provides scholarship support to students who demonstrate superior academic standing and financial need, with preference given to first-year students who receive the scholarship through all four years.
Francis Marion Ginn Memorial Fund
Established in memory of Francis Marion Ginn by his son, Frank Hadley Ginn, Class of 1890, Honorary 1925, of Cleveland, Ohio, father of Francis Ginn, Class of 1932. The income is available for scholarships to students who are graduates of Ohio high schools, preference being given to students from Sandusky County, where Francis M. Ginn served as principal and superintendent of schools for more than thirty years.
Millicent Pope Ginn Memorial Fund
Established in memory of Millicent Pope Ginn by her son, Frank Hadley Ginn, Class of 1890, Honorary 1925, of Cleveland, Ohio, father of Francis Ginn, Class of 1932. The income is available for scholarships to students who are graduates of Ohio high schools, preference being given to students from Sandusky County.
Ward B. Gordon Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 1987 by Ward B. Gordon, Class of 1953. The proceeds are awarded annually to students at the College in good academic standing who demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
Elmer A. Graham Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 1988 by the College's Board of Trustees in honor of Elmer A. Graham, a member of the board from 1973 until his death in 1989. The scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student at the end of the junior year, to provide a full scholarship for the senior year. The award is based on merit, without reference to need. Criteria for selection include high academic achievement, demonstrated leadership in the College community, and active participation in the life and work of the College.
Thomas J. Gray '37 Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2014 through a gift from a trust established by Thomas J. Gray, Class of 1937, and a lifelong enthusiastic supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. The Fund income provides scholarship support to students who demonstrate both financial need and significant qualities of leadership and personal character through their commitment to community through extracurricular activities. Such activities may include attaining the rank of Eagle Scout or other similar leadership roles or evidence of meaningful participation before or during the student's college years demonstrating similar levels of commitment and accomplishment.
Stephen Goodrich Groves Memorial Fund
Established in 1955 by Mr. and Mrs. Claude H. Groves of Minneapolis, Minnesota, in memory of their son, a member of the Class of 1953. The income supports the College's scholarship program, with preference given to students from Minneapolis or elsewhere in Minnesota.
George Gund Scholarship Fund
Established in 1948 by George Gund, Honorary 1950, long-time trustee of the College and chair of the Finance Committee, father of Graham Gund of the Class of 1963, and former chair of the Cleveland Trust Company, and substantially added to by the George Gund Foundation. The income supports the College's scholarship program.
George Gund Science Scholarship Fund
Established in 1998 through a grant from the George Gund Foundation. The proceeds provide competitive academic scholarships to recognize one student in each class who has financial need as well as demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and promise for distinguished intellectual accomplishment in the sciences and leadership in the future. Among qualified prospects, preferences will be give to those from the Cleveland, Ohio, area.
