Dear Kenyon Parents and Grandparents,
We were honored and gratified to serve as your co-chairs of the Kenyon Parents Fund this past year. While the academic year is in full swing on the Hill and teeming with possibilities, we wanted to take this opportunity to take a look back and celebrate what we accomplished together.
Due to your outstanding efforts, we ended the fiscal year on June 30, 2013, with $1,258,355 in contributions towards an aggressive goal of $1,325,000. This translates into a 5% increase year over year and marks the second highest campaign in the history of the Parents Fund! Other notable achievements include:
At these levels, Kenyon enjoys top rankings among our peer institutions. But, most importantly, these numbers tell a story of your great generosity, support, and commitment to the Kenyon Community, and we hope you are duly proud.
We are fortunate to have a team of parents who lead by example. Our success in large part is due to the tireless efforts of our Class Chairs: Edie & Ken Schechter, P’13, who also led the Senior Parent Challenge; Bill Toole & Claudia Ghianni, P’14; Joe Jest & Kathy Millian, P’15; and Teresa & David Crouse, P’16.
Finally, we also want to extend our gratitude to the members of the Annual Fund Staff, as well as to all the Parents Advisory Council members, and the student phonathon callers who volunteered to appeal to the broader community and achieved great success.
Kenyon College is indeed one of the finest liberal arts colleges in the U.S., and your continual support is both a gift and a legacy to you, your children, and grandchildren.
Sincerely yours,
Marc and Claire Behar, P’14
