Introducing Frontmatter
Frontmatter is a new journal celebrating the craft of powerful and artful expression — in particular, yours. For our inaugural issue, we are seeking your words, your insights, your art, your way of viewing the world.
Selected works will be published in a journal delivered to thousands of prospective students and readers, so they can see firsthand how we express our ideas, and why we value doing it well.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We are accepting submissions during the spring semester. Email frontmatter@kenyon.edu. The deadline is Friday, April 24.
What can you submit?
The format is up to you. We can accept almost anything we can print, including:
- Writing: original poetry, short stories, essays, blog posts, play scripts, or responses to literary works
- Research: visualizations of scientific or mathematical works, reflections on process, hypotheses proven correct or wrong
- Art: drawings, paintings, prints, illustrations, sculptures, single photos, photo essays
