Pets of any type (except service animals) are not permitted in residence halls during Reunion Weekend. Having non service animals/pets in residence halls during Reunion Weekend will be cause for removal. All pets on campus, during reunion weekend, must remain on leash or be crated. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Some local hotels may allow pets.
Dress for the weekend is casual. Keep in mind that Ohio weather in late May is unpredictable. Please check the weather forecast in advance. Reunion class dinner attire is business casual, unless indicated otherwise in your social letter. You may want to bring exercise clothes or a swimsuit and towel for use at the athletic center.
An open wi-fi network (KenyonPublic) is available on campus during Reunion Weekend. No username or password is needed. To connect to KenyonPublic, open a browser and accept the terms of agreement for using the wireless network. The Kenyon Inn lobby, Wiggin Street Coffee, and Gambier Deli also offer free
wi-fi. Verizon and AT&T cell phones operate fairly reliably in Gambier.
All attending reunion (including Al Anon) are welcome. Come take a break in a safe space to discuss recovery, share from the Big Book, and celebrate recovery on the Hilltop. Several other meetings will be held in nearby Mount Vernon. A list of meeting times and locations will be available in the registration center.
An alumni memorial service and Episcopal worship service will be held on campus on Sunday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Spirit. A list of these services and locations are available in the registration center.
In addition, the Prayer and Mediation Center (PMC) is available for anyone looking for some quiet contemplative time away from distractions that can often fill our days. The PMC provides a space for reflection, aiming to promote mindfulness and meditation on campus regardless of faith or background. There is a specific space set aside for Muslim prayer, as well as a library of books on various faiths and practices. Feel free to enter anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. If you require access to the PMC at other times, please notify campus safety. The PMC is located downstairs from the Village Inn and is accessible from the right side of the building, down the steps. If you have any questions, please contact Marc Bragin, director of spiritual and religious life for Kenyon College at braginm@kenyon.edu or Rachel Kessler, Priest-in-Charge of Harcourt Parish and Chaplain at Kenyon College, Chair, Kenyon Interfaith Partnership at kesslerrr@kenyon.edu.
