Kenyon has a limited number of golf carts available on a first come first serve basis to assist students with chronic mobility issues or disabilities that limit their ability to to access campus programs and services.
Given limited golf cart access for temporary injuries which impact mobility, students who are temporarily injured are asked to first contact the Health Center at 740-427-5525 to discuss the following medical transport options:
Your name can be placed on the Office of Campus Safety’s (OSS) medical transport list which enables you to call the dispatcher a half hour prior to needed transports.
You may be eligible for a temporary north campus parking permit to enable you to have ready access to a car for medical or physical therapy appointments.
You may be recommended for use of one of the two golf carts, if available. Golf cart guidelines require day time use, single passenger restrictions and return to OSS on Wednesday and weekend nights.
Knox Area Transit (KAT) is available between the hours of 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. They can be reached at kat@co.knox.oh.us or by calling 740-392-7433.
Wheelchair transport requests can be made by contacting Campus Safety at 740-427-5000. These arrangements are made for the entire semester for students who use a large automatic wheelchair. T
