Student Accessibility and Support Services (SASS) coordinates academic and program accommodations. Students can schedule an appointment by emailing sass@kenyon.edu to discuss accommodations, auxiliary aids and support services.
SASS coordinates the provision of accommodations for students with disabilities. Accommodations are individualized, confidential and based upon both the nature of the disability and the classroom or other program requirements.
Students requesting accommodations must provide current documentation of their disability. Documentation should be provided by a licensed professional and submitted to SASS, located on the third floor of Peirce Hall.
Our office is committed to providing opportunities for all students to engage in academic studies and activities, creative pursuits and service to the campus and wider community. All accommodations are individualized, confidential and based upon both the nature of the disability and the demands of the academic environment. SASS ensures that students requesting accommodations will be given the assistance they need.
The goal of Student Accessibility and Support Services is to create equal access for students with disabilities by way of academic support, resources, referrals, advocacy, outreach and collaboration across the college campus and community.
The SASS mission is threefold. We seek to:
SASS works closely with faculty and staff in an advisory capacity to assist in the development of reasonable accommodations that allow students with disabilities to fully participate in all of the programs and services offered on campus.
