Forman Christian College was established in 1864 by the Presbyterian Church USA but is independent, although the PC (USA) owns the campus.
Forman seeks to impart, create and disseminate knowledge, and develop informed, ethical and responsible citizens who are prepared and committed to learn, lead and serve. The college has 197 faculty members, 2,791 students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs, 183 in Masters programs and 2,468 in its Intermediate Program, which is the equivalent of the 11th and 12th grades in the United States. With nineteen majors, the largest undergraduate programs include business, economics, chemistry, mass communication and political science, while Forman's MBA program is its largest postgraduate program.
