Effat University, which was founded in 1999, is independent, embodies Islam's quest for knowledge, truth and enlightenment, and educates tomorrow's leaders by providing an interdisciplinary environment that is conducive to learning and research.
Effat has a diverse group of 78 faculty members and approximately 900 female students from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. The university has three colleges, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Business and the College of Engineering, and 12 departments with architecture, business programs offerings, information systems, and English and translation being the largest undergraduate majors.
