Dear members of the Kenyon College community,
An executive summary of the audit/report of our Title IX policies, procedures, and activities from the 2015-16 academic year is now available. As a reminder, this process was initiated this past spring; initial communications and the charge from the committee can be found at https://www-archive.kenyon.edu/title-ix/news.
We’d like to thank the community committee, led by Ruth Fisher P'17 and Associate Provost Ted Mason, and Rebecca Veidlinger for their thorough work throughout the process. We also thank the many members of the Kenyon community — students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni — who participated in the process, whether via survey, in person interview, or group session.
This report is not an endpoint, but rather another step in our continual process to address effectively the challenge of sexual assault on our campus. Samantha Hughes, our Title IX coordinator, will convene a campus advisory group to advise on the next steps in our process, and will share monthly updates on their progress.
Meanwhile, an FAQ document about the report is available on the Title IX website at https://www-archive.kenyon.edu/title-ix/review, and those with questions about the report can send them to titleixreport@kenyon.edu. A campus forum about next steps will take place early next semester; please stay tuned for more information.
Yours truly,
Sean Decatur, President
Brackett Denniston, Chair of the Board of Trustees
