Can't wait for orientation to begin? Want to get a jump-start on the Kenyon experience?
Kenyon offers four optional pre-orientation programs for entering students: a seven-day scientific data program that gives you an introduction to scientific research; a seven-day program in writing and thinking to kick-start your academic journey; and a seven-day backpacking and outdoors program for those seeking an adventurous beginning to college.
When you participate in a pre-orientation program, you'll arrive on campus early, move into your residence hall and begin meeting like-minded classmates. Applications will be available online beginning April 1, via the "Apply for Pre-Orientation Programs" link to the right.
Need-based financial aid is available for all programs.
All pre-orientation participants will move into their assigned residence hall rooms when they check-in.
During the pre-orientation programs, all meals will be covered.
There will be abbreviated family orientation sessions for any families who choose to bring their student to campus for a Pre-O.
Writing & Thinking, and Outdoors Club Pre-Orientations: 2 p.m. on August 18 in the Gund Gallery Community Foundation Theater.
