It’s official. You’re coming to Kenyon! So, what’s next?
You are joining an energetic and supportive community at Kenyon filled with people who stand ready to answer your questions and work with you in preparation for your arrival to Gambier. To get you started, here are important dates and deadlines to mark on your calendar as well as a list of what to expect between now and your first day at Kenyon.
Complete the new student forms, available in April via your Admissions Portal. The deadlines vary, so please review the submission date for each form. Forms include:

Apply for Pre-Orientation programs by June 1. Applications are available starting April 1. The four programs include Scientific Data (August 15-25) and Leadership, Outdoors and Writing & Thinking (August 19-25).
Check for your Kenyon student email address in your Admissions Portal by late May. Contact the Helpline at helpline@kenyon.edu or 740-427-5700 with any questions about accessing the portal.
Review the curriculum guide, “First Things First,” arriving in your mail this month. This publication introduces you to the curriculum and academic resources for first-year students. Pack this book and bring it back to campus with you. View the full course catalog online and contact registrarsoffice@kenyon.edu with questions.
Once you have accessed your Kenyon email address, you can log into the Searchable Schedule to record courses of interest. There is also significant first-year information on the Academic Advising page so that you can start doing some early exploration.
If you have taken AP exams or SAT Subject Tests, please have your score results sent to Kenyon (Kenyon College Code is 1370). Additionally, if you have taken courses at a college, please have your college transcript sent to the Registrar's Office at Kenyon. For additional information, or information regarding International Baccalaureate (IB) program, please visit Transfer Credits and Special Programs or contact the Registrar's Office.
Starting in June, financial aid recipients should access the Online Financial Aid System to view, accept and or decline financial aid awards and begin applying for federal direct student loans and/or federal direct parent PLUS loans. Your housing assignment will be released in mid-July via your Admissions Portal. If you are assigned a roommate, you'll receive that person’s name and contact information. Students approved for early arrival through athletics or Pre-Orientation programs are assigned an arrival date in mid-August. Move-in day for all new students is August 25. Meet your faculty advisor and orientation leader when they contact you mid-July after advising assignments are made. The Office of Academic Advising also emails you notes in June, July and August to prepare you for the academic year.
Check your email for the notification to electronically sign a college loan promissory note (only applies to students who have an accepted Kenyon College Loan as part of their financial aid package). Contact finaid@kenyon.edu or 740-427-5430 if you do not receive the notification.
Request your final high school transcript from your counseling office. Final transcripts should be sent by the secondary school to the Office of Admissions by July 15.
Submit tuition and fees payments by August 15. Bills are emailed to students in mid-July. Contact student.billing@kenyon.edu or 740-427-5178.
If you are planning to work on-campus, make certain to bring to campus original documents necessary to complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form. You can find the list of acceptable documentation on page 3 of the I-9 Form (PDF). Photocopies or faxed documents are not acceptable for verification purposes.
In August, register for Family Weekend, held October 19-20. Visit kenyon.edu/accommodations for local housing options for this high-demand event.
