Here are some frequently asked questions about the KAP Program:
Two elements are necessary to ensure the success of KAP in high schools: 1) a commitment by the schools to provide the necessary staffing, materials, and other resources needed for
We will approve a prospective teacher if they have a master’s degree in the content area, or possess a master’s degree in another discipline and are currently enrolled in a graduate program in the content area with the goal of earning the required 18 credit hours. The credits must be in the content area and not generally in the education/pedagogy of the content area. We will not consider teachers who do not meet these criteria. (Plans to enroll in a graduate program in the future will not serve to meet the teacher qualification.) Please note that KAP will match the school district's contribution to offset the tuition expense for KAP teachers who are seeking additional graduate credit to become fully credentialed KAP instructors
If your school meets the above criteria and you are interested in adding a new KAP course to your current KAP course offerings, or if you are interested in starting KAP at your school, please contact the following individuals:
If you do not currently have KAP at your school, please email KAP co-director Dudley Thomas at thomasdg@kenyon.edu. If you already offer KAP courses at your school but are interested in offering others, please email KAP co-director Glenn McNair at mcnairg@kenyon.edu.

You may request an official transcript to be sent to a college or university.

Most instructors will submit their grades via a class list spreadsheet supplied by Barb Cannon.
Information on entering grades directly from your KAP banner page can be found here.
Submit your course syllabus to Barb Cannon (cannonbe@kenyon.edu) as a PDF. If your syllabus is the same from year to year, re-date your syllabus so it can be posted.
Information and forms for reservations will be posted when available. Contact your KAP faculty partner for details of the next summer workshop available.
