If you are a Kenyon retiree, are close to retirement at Kenyon, or are a retiree simply living in the Gambier community and you'd like to stay in touch with College happenings, consider attending the Kenyon Community Hour! Activities are planned in collaboration with the Kenyon Athletic Center, the After Kenyon Society, A Hand at Home, and the Office of Campus Events on selected days monthly. More information about this event will be coming soon from Kenyon.
All Kenyon retirees and alumni (and their spouses) are invited to join the After Kenyon Society (AKS). AKS is strictly a social group which gathers on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. for a potluck dinner. There is never a business agenda, no dues, no politics. Its purpose is to have a fun evening with friends who enjoyed their time at Kenyon. You will receive an invitation each month, and are asked to respond if you plan to attend.
A Hand at Home (AHAH) is a nonprofit volunteer organization that offers practical everyday services to older adults in the Village of Gambier and College Township. Our goal is to help senior citizens age 60 and up remain in their homes, and live there comfortably and safely, for as long as they can.
Retirement benefits can begin any time after the date chosen for retirement (but no sooner than age 59.5). The retirement options available to eligible Kenyon employees are listed below, along with information about social security and medicare.
