Behind the Scenes
Our staff finish the week working on the big day itself: Graduation! It's a flurry of activity on Commencement morning, but there are opportunities to stop for a bit to watch from behind the scenes while making sure things are running smoothly.
This is Serious Business
Working from our secret headquarters (the back room of the Kenyon College Bookstore), the staff take their jobs very seriously. As you can clearly see, there is *no* time for silliness in between the solemn business of Senior Week parties, activities, and trips, and the sober business of checking in parents and guests for the celebration.
Time to Suit Up
One of the duties workers are offered is the opportunity to "suit up" and be a Flag Bearer. Flags play an important role in every ceremony at Kenyon, and they get the best seats in the house: front row!
Senior Week/Commencement Weekend student workers act as support staff for the associate director of student engagement and the assistant director of academic and ceremonial events in early-mid May. View the job description for Senior Week/Commencement Weekend.
Reunion Weekend student workers act as support staff for the associate director of alumni and parent engagement events in mid-late May. View the job description for Reunion Weekend.
While we hope to hear from many great applicants for each of these events, we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who may be able to work BOTH event weekends, strengthening our event staff team.
