Community-engaged learning (CEL) faculty workshops are offered twice each semester and aim to engage and support faculty in incorporating CEL into their courses. The workshops are offered through the Office for Community Partnerships and the Center for Innovative Pedagogy.

Supported by an experienced coach, this introductory level workshop is intended to help faculty design an approach to incorporate or expand a CEL component in a course.
Methods for Reflection in Community-Engaged Learning
This faculty workshop offers an array of CEL reflection practices to help faculty consider options for CEL courses by exploring three questions: (1) Why implement reflective teaching in CEL? (2) What are the best methods for reflection in community-engaged learning? (3) How do we measure learning that is hard to measure?

This session looked at three community-engaged learning course models that are partner-driven and participatory. It discussed the benefits and challenges for students, faculty, and community partners, and how we can come together for the improvement of teaching, scholarship, and community.
