A Kenyon degree is forever; so is the network! Explore the power of a Kenyon education beyond the classroom, whether you’re a student or graduate, by connecting with passionate alumni and parent volunteers eager to make career introductions and to offer professional advice.
Mentors on the Kenyon Career Network (KCN) provide information about their careers, industries, workplaces, geographic regions or the pursuit of advanced degrees. A new KCN platform (powered by Wisr) launched in January 2019, making these connections even easier. Students and alumni can search by a detailed list of mentorship support, including: résumé reviews; mock interviews; advice on developing career-related skills; job shadow opportunities; and homestay offers. Even more, the new KCN platform also offers affinity-based digital communities. With one click you can join discussions on professional topics in “Communities” based on industry, location, or any other area of common interest. Here are just some ways students and alumni can make the most out of the Kenyon Career Network:
Join the Kenyon Career Network by visiting kenyon.wisr.io
All Kenyon students and alumni are pre-approved to join the KCN, though you may need to be verified if you use an email address different from the one Kenyon has on file. Signing up for the KCN takes only a few minutes, and is even easier if you use your LinkedIn account to sign up.
Networking is a key skill for every professional—whether or not you are currently seeking a job. We encourage you to learn more about networking by reading our Networking and Informational Interview Guide as well as our Professional Social Media guide.

The Kenyon Career Network has migrated to a new platform. Even if you were a part of the old network, you'll need to sign up to remain an active KCN mentor.
On the new KCN, students will be able to search for you by your expertise or preferred type(s) of mentorship support. When they message you or request a call, it will all be through the platform so you won’t need to share any contact information. Also, after initially signing up, you don’t have to return to the platform to check for mentorship requests, as everything will be forwarded to your email inbox. You can reply to messages directly from your email. Similarly, call requests will be auto-arranged through a provided conference line. You can also contribute to group discussions or post notices of open positions in the KCN's online "Communities."
The Kenyon College Career Development Office (CDO) maintains information to help Kenyon students and alumni connect with individuals and companies that are willing to assist, mentor, or house students who are exploring careers, and with internship and job opportunities that may be available. Students, employers, and volunteers should be aware that the CDO does not vet or conduct background checks on the students that may seek assistance, employers that may be offering opportunities, or volunteers who may be providing support. Employers, students, mentors, and hosts are highly encouraged to meet via a phone or Skype call prior to confirming any arrangements to determine suitability of fit and discuss mutual expectations. While the CDO is not responsible for what happens in arrangements that come from its networks, it is happy to assist students, employers, and volunteers with conflict resolution and resources should difficulties occur.
