Leslie Harding joined the Career Development Office staff in August 2012 after eight years in human resources.
One of Leslie’s responsibilities is to connect students with internship opportunities. This fall, the CDO teamed up with the Office of Community Partnerships offering students positions with local organizations during the fall and spring terms. Nine Kenyon students were selected by local community organizations to complete internships over the course of the fall semester. A sample of these organizations include the Knox County Health Department, Mount Vernon Municipal Court, and the Knox County Landmarks Foundation. Leslie is excited to continue this program into the spring semester and enjoys seeing students engage with the local community beyond the hill. The Community Internship Program affords students the opportunity to gain professional experience during the academic year while offering organizations the benefit of operational support and tapping into the students’ creative ideas.
Leslie also enjoys working with students individually to address their specifics needs. She advises on everything from networking tips to calming pre-interview jitters. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is watching students gain confidence and take their future in their hands. To book and appointment with Leslie, click here.
