Mock interviews are valuable if you want to prepare for an upcoming interview, or have never interviewed before. A member of the Career Development Office staff will ask you a series of questions related to the industry and position you are applying for. Once completed, they will review your responses with you, providing feedback, encouragement and guidance.
You may not like the idea of doing two interviews - because who likes doing interviews, really - but a mock interview will make the real interview much, much easier. So, shake out your nerves with the CDO, where it doesn't count, and you will be better prepared for the real interview, where it does count.
You may schedule a mock interview appointment with a career advisor online or by calling the CDO at x5165. Mock interviews generally last 1 hour, so if scheduling online be sure to select two time slots that are side by side. Once you have confirmed your appointment, please be sure to email the following materials to the advisor as soon as possible, so that they may prepare a full list of questions related to your search:
If you do not have a particular position or program in mind, please submit information for a "hypothetical" situation of interest to you.
