The program is open to motivated and socially mature rising junior and senior high school students. Because of
Two sessions are held over the three-week period, one for rising juniors and one for rising seniors. Juniors will take courses in U.S. history and creative writing, and seniors will take neuroscience and African American history. Each class will meet for three hours each weekday. In addition, all students will take a studio art class, twice a week.
Participants live in residential halls of Kenyon College. The men will stay in one dorm and women in another. Most rooms are doubles. Careful supervision is provided by the director, staff and residential assistants.
Recreation time is scheduled for students each night. Activities include scavenger hunts, kickball, nature walks, and discussions with college students about college life. Weekends offer opportunities to go to the movies, dance, play pool or ping pong, and more. We will also produce a newsletter, a yearbook and the "no-talent" talent show.
The total cost, including tuition, accommodations and all meals is $3,500. KAP students have earned a scholarship.
Yes. To apply, fill out and submit a scholarship application when completing your electronic Camp 4 application. The form requires a parent/guardian signature. KAP students have earned a scholarship.
