Tamara Seckel has performed in roles, recitals and concerts throughout the Midwest and New York. She has sung with Lyric Opera Cleveland and Opera Columbus and was a soloist for the Cantilena Concert Series. She has performed at the Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus Museums of Art. She has been soloist for world premieres with the Hixon Dance Theater, Columbus Guitar Society and the Cleveland Institute of Music orchestra.
A past winner of the Stelia and Sofia Vassos price in French Art Song, Seckel was one of the featured participants at the Cleveland Art Song Festival. Most recently, she was the soprano soloist for the Beethoven Mass in C Major with the Knox County Symphony. She performed with Pro Musica Columbus for the Mozart Mass in C Minor. Seckel is the soprano soloist for Early Interval, Columbus’ early music ensemble. She is currently a section leader and soloist with the choirs at Worthington United Methodist Church and Temple Israel. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and The Cleveland Institute of Music.
