Kenyon is adopting a temporary test-optional policy for all students applying for admission in fall 2021. The one-year policy adjustment, made with the approval of President Sean Decatur, reflects the extraordinary circumstances facing students as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupts much of global life, including testing operations. While ACT and SAT scores will not be required for applicants to the class entering in fall 2021, students wishing to submit standardized test results for consideration may still do so. International students studying in schools where English is not the primary language must still submit scores from an English proficiency test such as the Duolingo English Test, TOEFL or the IELTS.
Kenyon will review applications using either official or self-reported SAT or ACT score results. Please note that Kenyon "super-scores" results for both the SAT and ACT. Please self-report your highest scores in the Testing section of the Common Application or send a PDF copy of your score report(s) as an email attachment to admissions@kenyon.edu.
SAT Subject, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate results are not required for admission to Kenyon. However, the admission committee will consider results from these exams as a component of your application for admission should you wish to submit them. For questions regarding Kenyon credit granted for results from these exams, please visit the Registrar's webpage.
