Friday, Dec. 14 | Department committee will evaluate work to date. Continuation in Honors will be contingent on the quality of your work during the first semester, specifically the first revised chapter. The department will meet to collectively evaluate the progress of students in Honors. Students not allowed to continue in honors will receive a grade from their advisors for a one-semester independent study. |
Friday Jan. 25 | Second completed chapter to your advisors |
Wednesday, Feb. 13 | Revised second chapter to your advisors |
Saturday, Feb. 23 | Comprehensive exam for senior majors |
Monday, March 18 | Third completed chapter to your advisors |

Friday, April 19 | Honors theses due. Those theses passed by department committee sent to outside examiner |
Thursday, April 25 | Oral presentation (30 minutes) of argument of your thesis to department faculty and other honors students |
Saturday, May 4 | Oral Examination with Outside Examiner |
