Renewable Energy
The Kenyon Farm hosts a 19.2 kilowatt (kW) photovoltaic solar array which is mounted to the western side of the barn. The project was developed by the Office of Green Initiatives in collaboration Kenyon College students through CHEM 108 Solar Energy, a hands-on renewable energy course.
The panels were installed on Nov. 3, 2015, by Third Sun Solar, an Athens-based renewable energy firm, at a cost of $56,000.

Systems specifics: 19.12kW DC Solar PV System (18kW AC) with 75 Canadian Solar 255W modules using 3 SMA Sunny Boy 6000-TL-US Inverters and a SunModo Racking System.
