Speaking at the City Club of Cleveland, President Decatur answered the question of whether or not there is a future for liberal arts education with a definitive yes.
Most employers are more concerned with critical thinking and communication skills than with someone's undergraduate major, and that those are things that Kenyon imparts. Decatur also discussed student loan debt, saying that, while it is a huge issue, the long-term benefits of the education students receive at a school such as Kenyon should be of greater emphasis.
