President Decatur joined a panel discussing The Relevance of Liberal Arts in a High Tech World at the Columbus Metro Club.
Liberal arts majors are the butt of many jokes. By definition, a liberal arts education does not refer to professional, vocation or technical skills training so the field of study begs the question “What are you going to do with that?” Fear not, the liberal arts education is viable and relevant as the panelists at the April 15 Columbus Metro Club forum espouse. Featured speakers included university presidents from central Ohio’s liberal arts colleges: Sean Decatur from Kenyon College, Rock Jones from Ohio Wesleyan University and Adam Weinberg of Denison University. The former president of Kenyon College (2003-2014) Georgia Nugent hosted the discussion.
