The Crozier Center for Women sponsors a number of engaging and intersectional events and programs aimed at making Kenyon more inclusive for women and people of diverse gender identities.
During LGBTQ+ History Month, the Crozier Center for Women hosted a documentary screening about the Compton’s Cafeteria Riots and the role of transgender women in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality. Additionally, the Crozier Center for Women has regularly hosted meetings and social gatherings, where members of the campus community can discuss contemporary topics related to gender. The space is also regularly used by a number of student organizations throughout each semester.
In the spring 2019 semester, the Crozier Center for Women is planning a number of events including a Weaver Wednesday event around affirmative consent for Valentine’s Day, the inaugural Gender and Leadership Luncheon featuring a speaker from the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, and programs in recognition of Women’s History Month in March.
If your student organization or department is interested in co-sponsoring an event with the Crozier Center for Women, please reach out to the student managers or the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The center can offer a number of resources for events and programs, including potential financial resources, a space for programming, assistance with advertising and event management and more.
